The Balloon
Pushing the new frontier of drone technologies, the Helmsman is an experimental test bed for future drone models utilizing StarLink terminals and direct-to-cell connectivity. This enables remote operations and programming from anywhere in the world while demonstrating an off-the-shelf path to long-range aeronavigation and FPV for under $2,000.
A step of validation for key systems in the SkyNavigator project. The Balloon is deployable from flight, enabling transition into a blimp-like vehicle and giving the project extended station time at altitude.
